Luton bus operator raises funds for domestic violence charities, via colleague feedback survey.
Stagecoach East, a Luton bus operator, is raising funds to support the vital work of local domestic abuse charities while also soliciting candid feedback from its employees on how the operation may be improved even more.
Stagecoach East will pay £2 to local domestic abuse charity for every colleague who completes its annual ‘Tell Me’ survey.
Tell Me allows Stagecoach employees around the country to offer their opinions in complete confidence, allowing the operator to develop and expand on their ideas.
The announcement comes just days after Stagecoach East marked the first anniversary of its award-winning collaboration with the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Police Authority and the Cambridge and Peterborough Rape Crisis Centre to join the Businesses Against Abuse (BAA) project.
Under the plan, if a driver senses that a women or girl may be in fear of abuse on the street, they are permitted to pull over and ask if they need help and then take her to a safe spot on route, if necessary.
Darren Roe, Managing Director of Stagecoach East, said: “Tell Me is a hugely important part of our year – it is an opportunity for our colleagues to confidentially tell us exactly what they think, and we build on their insights throughout the year.
