La Liga outfit RCD Mallorca are closing on a deal for a player in Leeds United’s attacking lineup in the Premier League.
According to market expert Matteo Moretto, Mateo Joseph is the player in question on this point.
A Spanish youth international, Joseph has been playing club football with the aforementioned Leeds since leaving Espanyol in the summer of 2022, for those who are unfamiliar with his name.
This past season, the striker had a somewhat supporting role at Elland Road as the Whites won promotion back to the Premier League.
Joseph contributed three goals and three assists in his 39 Championship appearances overall, including 11 starts.
Additionally, he is said to have caught the interest of other clubs throughout the continent.
However, as previously mentioned, La Liga team Mallorca presently seems to be in the greatest position to sign the 21-year-old.
According to a report by Matteo Moretto, a journalist:
Mateo Joseph is the target of Mallorca. Leeds and Mallorca are in early negotiations for the Spanish striker’s straightforward loan. All transfer offers for him that Leeds has received in recent weeks have been turned down; the only alternative the English team is considering is a loan with no buyout clause. Mallorca is ideally situated.
