Man charged after holding Perth anti-immigration protest without permission.
Last Saturday, more than 100 protestors participated in the march. A man has been accused with holding an anti-immigrant protest in Perth without permission.
The latest march on Saturday, October 18, drew over 100 demonstrators, including The Pink Ladies and Perth’s Peaceful Protest groups.
Both said they are concerned about asylum seekers residing in the city’s hotels. Perth and Kinross Council previously acknowledged that the Pink Ladies had not filed for a public parade licence.
Police at the event also informed attendees by loudhailer that they could face arrest for participating.Officers have verified that a guy has been charged in connection with the demonstration on October 18.
A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal. Inspector Stephen Grey of Police Scotland stated, “It is an offence to hold a procession without the proper permission.”
