Man charged as £500k worth of cannabis found in Dundee.

A man has been charged after police found cannabis worth more than £500,000 during a raid in Dundee.

Officers searched a property on Albert Street in Stobswell on Thursday and discovered drugs worth £562,500.

A 24-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the discovery. He is expected to appear in Dundee Sheriff Court on Friday, and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Detective Inspector Gary Lamb stated, “This recovery will prevent a significant amount of controlled drugs from being distributed into communities.” It demonstrates our ongoing commitment to protecting the public from the harm caused by this type of criminal activity.”

He went on to say, “Those involved in Scotland’s illegal drug trade should be aware that our efforts to disrupt and arrest people are ongoing.

“This seizure also clearly underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised CrimeTaskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.” Police Scotland reports that they have seized more than 22 million pounds in drugs in Scotland this year.

Detective Chief Superintendent Dave Ferry stated, “These seizures demonstrate our commitment to combating drug crime in Scotland.”

“Controlled substances are dangerous and cause significant harm to individuals, families, and communities.” They are illegal for this exact reason.

“Working closely with our partners, we remain focused on targeting individuals and organised crime groups, who selfishly exploit vulnerable people solely for their own financial gain.”
