Man chased through Leicester by ‘crowbar wielding man’ after being hit by car.

A man has been arrested in connection to the event. A man was allegedly pursued through the streets of East Leicester by a man holding a crowbar after being hit by a vehicle.

Police said the suspected victim, a male in his twenties, was brought to the hospital after the incident occurred about 1.15 a.m. on Sunday, February 22.

Officers claimed the man told them he was hit by a silver Vauxhall Corsa at the intersection of St Saviours Road and Dorothy Road.

He then managed to get up and flee to Moat Road, but was pursued by a man who got out of the automobile.

The man is reported to have exited the vehicle armed with a crowbar and swung it at the alleged victim before returning to the car and speeding away.

According to authorities, the accused victim did not incur any life-threatening or life-changing injuries.

Leicestershire Police announced today (Monday, February 23) that a 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempting to cause grievous bodily injury with intent.

He has since been released on bond. Detective Constable Sophie Rowell stated, “I believe there are others who may be able to contribute information about this occurrence to assist our ongoing investigation.

“I’m asking witnesses and anyone with a doorbell, CCTV camera, or dashcam to come forward.
