Man has life-threatening injuries after stabbing.

A man is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after being stabbed in Eastbourne, police say.

Officers responded to a report of a fight on Seaside Road in the town at around 20:20 BST on Thursday. The man, along with two others who had minor stab wounds, were transported to the hospital.

A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and taken into custody. The road was closed between the intersections with Cavendish Place and North Street.

Enquiries are ongoing to determine the circumstances, and Sussex Police reported a “increased presence” in the area. Officers are asking for any witnesses or anyone with CCTV to come forward.
