Middlesbrough predicted team vs Coventry City as Kim Hellberg aims to end nine-game run

Middlesbrough predicted team vs Coventry City as Kim Hellberg aims to end nine-game run.

Middlesbrough travel to Coventry City in good form, except against the Sky Blues!Middlesbrough travel to Coventry City full of confidence, looking to extend their advantage at the top of the Championship table.

Kim Hellberg’s team has won six consecutive league games, propelling them to the top of the standings ahead of their trip to the CBS Arena.

While they will arrive in Coventry in top form, their hosts will be reeling from a significant setback. They will also be well aware of their recent struggles against the Sky Blues.

Boro have lost the last six meetings between the two sides and have yet to win in their last nine attempts. Boro’s most recent victory over Coventry came in January 2022, when Marcus Tavernier scored the only goal.

Can Hellberg be the Boro that finally breaks the Coventry City curse? To do so, he understands that he must make an accurate team selection. Will the Swede field the same team as he did against Sheffield United?

Sol Brynn, custodian, produced three excellent saves at Bramall Lane on Monday, and Hellberg referred to him as ‘crucial’. Boro will need to be alert for this one as well.

DR – Callum Brittain – The right-back has performed admirably after returning from injury.Brittain’s innate talent in the part is evident, regardless of how well Alan Browne filled in for him.

CB – Luke Ayling – Boro have Dael Fry itching to return to action. But how could you drop Luke Ayling right now? Sheffield United was another major test for the veteran, which he passed with flying colours.

CB – Adilson Malanda – Adilson Malanda, who joined the club from Charlotte last month, has made an immediate impact in the Championship. In fact, he already appears to be Premier League ready.

DL – Matt Targett – The balance that Targett brings to Boro’s defence should not be overlooked.

While Brittain provides so much down the right, Target can still get forward and participate in the attack when necessary. However, he fulfils his defensive duties with minimal fuss, giving Brittain more attacking flexibility.

CM – Aidan Morris – Speaking of someone whose tactical discipline helps others to flourish, Morris has returned from injury and is reminding everyone why he and Hayden Hackney are considered among the best in the Championship. This is another major test for him.

CM – Alan Browne – The Championship’s Player of the Month; it says everything about Browne that, following Brittain’s return from injury, Hellberg has practically altered formations to accommodate Browne, Morris, and Hackney in the same squad.

CM – Hayden Hackney – Boro’s standout player has really stepped up in recent weeks to help them win some crucial games.

This is another massive game with more people watching.Hackney will undoubtedly want to shine again.RW – Morgan Whittaker – Whittaker had doubters early in the season, but he has done a lot to demonstrate his importance.

In addition to his goals, he has made significant progress under Hellberg in terms of his overall contributions to the team’s link-up play.

LW Riley McGree – There is new attacking opposition in the form of Jeremy Sarmiento, whom Hellberg described as ‘on fire’ in training this week.

However, when fit, McGree is another player whose absence from the starting lineup is difficult to excuse.

ST – Tommy Conway – And, after finishing an unchanged line-up for the third match in a row, Conway finally appears to be in form. His goal against Sheffield United was well-taken and his fourth in as many games.

He’ll undoubtedly want to exorcise some demons from the previous game.
