Millwall boss has firm response when asked about Max Crocombe decision following Steven Benda return.

Millwall manager Alex Neil claimed it was not a difficult decision to maintain Max Crocombe after the goalkeeper kept his second clean sheet in three games against Bristol City on Saturday.

Crocombe, 32, came on a free transfer from Burton Albion in the summer and made his EFL Cup debut against Newport County, winning 1-0. Prior to Steve Benda’s injury in October, he was the league’s second choice.

Crocombe made his first Championship start in a 2-1 win over Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road and has maintained his place since Benda’s return.

“I’m really pleased, I could go across all of them,” he replied. “I could literally talk about each and every one of them in terms of how they’re getting better.”
