“For children aged 5 to 15, there are treetop towers, climbing walls, scramble nets, zip wires, mid-air tunnels, wobbly bridges, and sensory devices. They do not have separate parking lots, however on-street parking is available close.

The Harwoods park is located inside the Harwoods Recreation Ground on Vicarage Road, while the Harebreaks are approximately 15 minutes distant by automobile in Woodside. The list also praises a park in Rickmansworth, with the Muddy Stilettos article stating:

“There’s a great playground at Rickmansworth Aquadrome, with climbing frames, a roundabout, trampoline, swings, and plenty of outdoor gym equipment.”

“While you may not visit simply for the playground (unless you live nearby), the lakes, round walks, and fantastic café make it well worth the journey.

Bring bikes or scooters so they can cruise around the paved trails.” The list also includes Gadebridge Park in Hemel Hempstead, which has “climbing frames of varying sizes, sandpits, a skate park, and an outdoor fitness centre”.

The remainder of the list includes Hullabazoo Adventure Play at Whipsnade Zoo, Hertfordshire Zoo in Broxbourne, Fort Knebworth in Knebworth Park, and Go Ape at Woburn Safari Park.

Despite complimenting their adventure parks, Muddy Stilettos did not include Watford or Rickmansworth on their list of the ten best places to live in Herts.

Kings Langley came in tenth place, just behind Watford, while Hitchin took the top spot from St Albans.
