New Canaries commentary deal for BBC Radio Norfolk.
BBC Radio Norfolk has signed a new five-year commentary contract with Norwich City Football Club.
Chris Goreham, Norwich City’s voice, will provide full coverage of every kick of every game on FM and DAB, both at home and away, beginning tomorrow with the Canaries’ Championship season opener against Millwall.
In addition to commentary on each game, matchday coverage will include in-depth analysis and interviews with manager Liam Manning and his squad.
Following matches, Radio Norfolk will continue to welcome fans on Canarycall. Beginning this season, the phone-in will be available as a “watchalong” on the BBC Norfolk website.
Terry Underhill, BBC executive editor, said: “I’m delighted that the long-standing partnership between BBC Radio Norfolk and Norwich City will continue with commentary for all games for the next five years.”
“Our coverage of NCFC is the jewel in our crown, and it’s great news for fans and listeners that they can hear full commentary on every game with Chris Goreham leading the way.”
