Drone photographs reveal how the futuristic playpark being created at Aberdeen Beach is taking shape, with work set to be completed this year.
The attraction is part of a £50 million renovation project along the city’s beachfront.
And this kid-friendly masterpiece, which is anticipated to attract families from all over, will be completed by the end of the year.
Now, our new drone photographs reveal how work is progressing, with the building site beginning to resemble the park previously only seen in multi-colored plans.
We’ve presented our photographer Kenny Elrick’s most recent photos, as well as the vibrant blueprints, to show how they’ll eventually look.
New images show Aberdeen Beach playpark progress
For months, visitors have peered through the fences to see how the multimillion-pound redevelopment of the area is progressing.
The primary attractions are starting to emerge from the construction site.
The park’s main attraction will be the “sky tower,” an eight-story tall beacon with views of the city and the North Sea.
These design pictures of the Aberdeen Beach playpark, released last year, illustrate how the site is planned to look once completed.
It was developed by the same team who created the world’s largest play structure, the Lilidorei Play Village at Alnwick Garden in Northumberland.
A skate park is also being created along the seafront.
Our most recent photographs also show the advancement of this feature.
