New parking charges revealed for Aberdeen’s Union Square and College Street.

The rates have risen in the run-up to Christmas.

Parking prices in Union Square have been raised in preparation for the holiday season. Union Square is one of the most prominent shopping places in the Northeast.

It has lately changed its offering, with the addition of Mango, Crew Clothing, and Victoria’s Secret this year.

The large new flagship Marks and Spencer shop is also bringing more customers to the area. Parking is in higher demand as interest in Union Square’s retail offerings grows.

Union Square recently announced hikes in parking fees for its 1,200-space main car park (surface and multi-storey). The new prices at Union Square’s main car park are as follows:

  • Up to 1 hrs: £4.00
  • 1-2 hrs: £5.00
  • 2-3 hrs: £6.10
  • 3-4 hrs: £7.20
  • 4-5 hrs: £9.40
  • 5-6 hrs: £10.50
  • 6-7 hrs: £14.30
  • 7-24 hrs: £20.40

Cars arriving after 6 p.m. and leaving before 4 a.m. are charged a flat rate of £3.00. Charges for College Street near Union Square have also increased. The new charges on College Street are as follows:

  • Up to 1 hrs: £3.30
  • 2 hrs: £4.40
  • 3 hrs: £5.50
  • 4 hrs: £6.60
  • 5 hrs: £8.80
  • 6 hrs: £9.90
