They have only three points from the last 21 games and have failed to score in all three.

Pressley admits the job has been tougher than he expected.

“It’s an exceptionally tough job,” he said.

“attempting to put the pieces of the puzzle together, attempting to locate the solutions therein, has been really difficult.

“But I’m in a good place right now because we’re working towards a certain goal, and I’ve seen progress. “This does not imply that my decisions were correct.

“But what I do know is that my staff and I have worked every minute of the day to attempt to find solutions and make things right. “As a result, I can sit here confident that I am performing to the best of my capacity.

“I do not regret getting the position. Have I enjoyed it since I started? Sometimes, no. But do I regret it? No.

“It’s benefited me in a variety of ways. “And I’ve mentioned previously that there are so many historical success stories that you have to withstand what we’re going through right now.

“I don’t believe you can see success unless you go through experiences like ours. And I mean it.

“Even the greatest trainers in the world must go through difficult times. “So it comes with the territory.” Do I enjoy it? Not that aspect of it. “But we have to keep going.”

John Nelms support

What has the reaction at the top of the club been after four consecutive defeats with nine goals conceded and zero goals scored, as well as a season start with only nine points from 13 games?

When asked if he has the support of managing director John Nelms, Pressley responded: “I don’t see much of John.

He is obviously involved with other elements of the club. But we communicate.

“We hold regular, weekly meetings. I haven’t sensed anything different. “That is not to suggest that’s the case. I am not aware of that.

“At this point, I believe there has been no pressure or signal from them that anything is wrong. “But we all know we need to win games of football.”

I think it’s quite healthy. It allows us to explain what we’re working on and what we’re aiming to accomplish,” the Dens head coach stated. “We obtain Gordon’s feedback and experience.
