Pezzolano: ‘Watford need to become a serious club’.

Paulo Pezzolano feels he is setting the groundwork for Watford to become a “serious club” and expects to reap the advantages in the future.

Pezzolano has been insistent that he sees upgrading this squad as a process, and he is convinced that their training efforts will pay off in the long run.

The Hornets lost 1-0 against Millwall on Monday, and they have only won one of their first seven games of the season.

The head coach stated: “The club needs to become a serious club, and we believe we are helping to lay the groundwork for that.” “We believe the club needs to reform.

We believe we are altering many things internally, including how the club functions and how we work each day. “Time will tell.

Hopefully, we’ll be sitting here admiring the transformation in the future. “The only thing we can do as far as we are concerned is to keep on working.” We wouldn’t be here if we thought we couldn’t achieve anything or get any results. We’d be the first to say no to being here.

“We feel we can get the results and hopefully we can get one in the next game.” Pezzolano stated that any questions about his future are “one for the owner of the club” and that his players are giving him their all. He stated: “The players deserve more. They worked quite hard physically.

“Today, the squad showed a different face than in the last encounter; they performed admirably against a very challenging opponent. “We ran out of luck at certain points during the game. It was characterised by a straight free kick.

“It’s difficult to provide a timetable for a scenario like this (improvement). What we can do is keep working, staying on the same path, and giving our all each day.”
