Port of Aberdeen hails record cruise season.

Aberdeen enjoyed a banner cruise season, welcoming a record 43,000 visitors in 2025, up 79% from the previous year.

It distinguishes Aberdeen as one of the most rapidly rising cruise destinations. The Port of Aberdeen received a record 65 cruise calls, with larger vessels docking at South Harbour.

The formal cruise season concluded a month ago, in late September.

Aberdeen also hosted Cruise Britain’s annual summer celebration.”Our investment in Aberdeen South Harbour has been a game changer, opening up significant new opportunities for the cruise sector,” said Port of Aberdeen CEO Bob Sanguinetti.

“This expansion is one of the key reasons behind the significant increase in cruise calls.”
