When Newcastle United plays Manchester City on Saturday, Eddie Howe is expected to make two changes to his starting lineup.

In an effort to recover from back-to-back losses, the Magpies return to Premier League play against Pep Guardiola’s team at St. James’ Park.

Howe has put a lot of effort into solving Newcastle United’s issues during the international break, and his efforts will be tested on Saturday night.

This is the Newcastle United XI that Geordie Boot Boys believes will play Manchester City, and it will be a very tough encounter for the Magpies.

Nick Pope returns following a concussion

Nick Pope was substituted due to a concussion during Newcastle United’s loss against Brentford. He was having trouble prior to that injury.

Some supporters want Aaron Ramsdale to start against Manchester City because of his performance, but they might not be granted their request.

Pope is healthy to play Manchester City, according to Howe, and it seems likely that he will stay in the starting lineup. The demand for Ramsdale to play more will put pressure on the England international to perform well.

In other news, Dan Burn, who is suspended, should be replaced at left back by Lewis Hall.
