QPR handed big triple boost for Hull City – Julien Stephan will love this.
QPR manager Julien Stephen handed good news over three injury concerns
QPR’s recent drop in form has been accompanied by a lengthy injury list, including Kader Dembele, Kwame Poku, Rumarn Burrell, Ilias Chair, Jonathan Varane, Justin Obikwu, and Ziyad Larkeche.
There are several key first-team players in that mix, and Stephan could use a few more faces for their trip to high-flying Hull City this weekend.
Stephan will have access to absent players, including Chair and Varane, as reported by West London Sport.
Chair, a little attacking midfielder, has been plagued by injuries in 2025-26, missing eight matches between August and October before returning for nine games. The Moroccan was subsequently sidelined once more, with the reason of his physical concerns unknown.
Varane, meanwhile, suffered a sprained knee in a 3-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday in early January, missing six Championship games in the process, but he is also returning to strengthen Stephan’s squad.
Meanwhile, Nicolas Madsen is likely to return after limping out in the second half of Rovers’ defeat with an ankle injury; the Dane has played in all 32 Championship games for the R’s this season and will want to maintain that at Hull.
QPR’s fortunes may turn with the return of key players
Some crucial players are still away, however, including top scorer Rumarn Burrell, who has an injured hamstring, Kader Dembele, who is out for a long with a knee injury, and summer signing Kwame Poku, whose hamstring problems are becoming an uncomfortable habit.
The absence of such stars may prevent the R’s from genuinely fighting for the play-offs, but if Stephan can get his side to string together a few more wins, QPR could be the surprise package at the end of the season.
