QPR transfer fee revealed after automatic activation didn’t happen – Good deal all round.

The €3.2 million transfer Queens Park Rangers made for winger Koki Saito made former team Lommel SK a tidy profit.

After spending the previous season on loan at the Championship team, where he made 42 appearances across all competitions, scoring three goals and providing two assists, Saito has decided to make the move to London permanent.

Het Belang Van Limburg reports that the fee was €3.2 million, however QPR has decided to make the move permanent and reported the fee as undisclosed.

They clarify that Saito had been practicing with Lommel for the past few weeks while they awaited the transfer, and that QPR had an automatic option to purchase if they were promoted to the Premier League.

The Japanese winger, who cost Lommel €2.2 million to sign from Yokohama FC in 2021, is now valued at €3.2 million, giving them a nice profit.Saito joins Richard Kone, who also cost €3.2 million to sign from Wycombe, as QPR’s ninth summer acquisition and the team’s most costly addition.
