Rwanda international leaves Luton Town to join Eagles on loan.

Claude Kayibanda, a Rwandan international, has joined National League North club Bedford Town on a 28-day youth loan.

The 19-year-old, who can play in both midfield and defence, made his international debut for the Wasps in the summer, playing in a 2-0 friendly loss to Algeria shortly after signing a contract extension at Kenilworth.

Kayibanda recently played for Town’s U21s against Northampton Town, but was also a member of the Eagles squad that lost 3-1 to Taunton Town in their final pre-season friendly on Saturday, and he will join Lee Bircham’s team ahead of their season opener against Alfreton Town tomorrow.

» Jayden Luker, a Town midfielder, made his Notts County debut in Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Newport County in League Two.

The 20-year-old was named to the bench for the season opener in Wales, as the Magpies fell behind just moments into the second half, with Ged Garner scoring from a long throw into the area.

Jodi Jones then equalised from the penalty spot on 64 minutes, and Luker came on for the final 10 minutes but was unable to help his new side win.
