Sheffield has numerous notable nightclubs in the 1970s and 1980s.
These photographs transport you back to those days, capturing some of the era’s most popular clubs, where the dancefloor was always packed.
This nostalgic photo gallery takes you inside much-missed nightclubs like Josephines, Fiesta, The Limit, the Roxy, Baileys, Silks, Tiffany’s, and the Penny Farthing.
The Crazy Daizy nightclub underneath GT News is also seen, where Sean Bean used to hang out and where The Human League’s Phil Oakey famously met future band members Susan Ann Sulley and Joanne Catherall on the dancefloor.
In addition to ordinary revellers having a good night out, these nostalgic photographs reveal some of the huge stars that such clubs drew back then, from Kylie Minogue to Morecambe and Wise.
Do these photographs bring back any memories for you, and which nightclub do you believe was the greatest in Sheffield throughout the 1970s and 1980s?
