Shock on Beeching Road in Norwich after mother suddenly dies.

Neighbours on a peaceful street have expressed their astonishment after a mother died unexpectedly just a few steps from her front door.

Residents on Beeching Road near Lakenham told how emergency vehicles swarmed their street at lunchtime on Monday, September 22, to attend to a woman in need of medical attention.

Inesa Permargjeta, 42, whose home on Mansfield Lane overlooks the scene of the event, reported seeing “one ambulance, then another, and then another.” She stated, “She was on the ground at her house, and I witnessed the first responders giving her chest compressions.

“It appeared they were rushing to do their best. I’ve never seen anything like it. “I think her two-year-old son was with her at the time.

“She was a lovely, caring mother and they seemed like a very close and strong family.” Ms. Permagjeta stated, “Whatever the family needs, they are welcome here at any time.” Esther Collis, 46, of Beeching Road, said: “We got back around 1.15pm, and the paramedics were still there around 3pm.”

One neighbour, who wanted not to be identified, remarked, “It looked quite dramatic.

I was getting ready to pick up my son when I noticed all the flashing lights. Another neighbour, who did not want to be identified, said he was stunned by what had occurred in what he described as a “closely knit community”. He stated:

“This is a calm street. We have no problems here because the people are really friendly.” He clarified: “We take in each other’s mail and parcels so this is a real shock.”

According to an East of England Ambulance Service spokeswoman, “One ambulance, a rapid response vehicle, a paramedic car, and a critical care paramedic car, as well as East Anglian Air Ambulance, were called to Beeching Road on Monday following reports of a woman with a medical emergency.”

“Sadly, despite the best efforts of all involved, the woman died at the scene.”
