Sunderland Star ‘Has Agreed’ Exit On ‘Permanent Deal’.
According to journalist Pete O’Rourke, Sunderland midfielder Netarios Triantis has ‘agreed’ to join MLS side Minnesota United on a ‘permanent deal’.
Two years ago, the Australian joined the North East club from the Central Coast Mariners on a four-year contract for a fee of £300,000.
However, the defender spent the majority of his time on loan with Scottish Premiership side Hibernian on two occasions.
Despite his primary position as a centre-back, he also played defensive midfield for Hibs, where he made 50 appearances and was praised for his performances.
The Scottish side wanted him back, but other clubs around the world were interested in him.
With the MLS transfer window closing, he is preparing to leave the Stadium of Light.
Triantis ‘has agreed’ to join Minnesota United, and the agreement with Sunderland will be a ‘permanent deal’.

The clubs involved have reached an agreement on a deal for the 22-year-old, and the player has also agreed to the change of circumstances.
The Black Cats have made a fantastic start to the season, defeating West Ham United 3-0 on their return to the Premier League, thanks to impressive new signings. However, they are now offloading players who are not in Regis Le Bris’ long-term plans, and Triantis is set to leave.
It is unclear how much money the Black Cats will receive for the Australian, or whether they will retain a sell-on clause in his contract, as clubs have increasingly begun to do.
Minnesota United are currently in second place in the Western Conference of the MLS.
