Sunderland work on signing Chelsea star in January – ‘He’s already agreed terms’.
Sunderland have made a solid start to their Premier League return and will look to expand on their early success when the transfer window opens.
Regis Le Bris’ side defeated Chelsea 2-1 at Stamford Bridge on October 25 to maintain their impressive start, due to a late goal from Chemsdine Talbi.
The Black Cats are now fourth in the league table after nine games, with five victories, two ties, and only two defeats.
They do not, however, intend to rest on their laurels, as plans are already underway to enhance their squad during the January transfer window.
Sunderland invested over £165 million following their promotion from the Championship, but they believe there are aspects of their team that may be enhanced further.

Marc Guiu could return to Sunderland from Chelsea in January
Marc Guiu joined Sunderland on loan in the summer, but the striker was swiftly recalled by Chelsea after Nicolas Jackson moved to Bayern Munich.
However, this has not dampened the Black Cats’ interest, as they are planning a move to bring him back to the Stadium of Light during the January transfer window.
That is according to former Sunderland and Manchester United senior scout Mick Brown, who is still highly well-connected at his former clubs and told Football Insider exclusively that discussions should be smooth after the agreement was signed in the summer.
“It offers the manager a lot of options, which is fantastic, but it means a lot of players don’t get a chance because he’s very much decided on his starting XI.
“Even substitutes have preferences, and I don’t believe Guiu has everyone fit. “As a young player, you must be playing games. That is the most crucial thing. So, if you have the opportunity to go and play elsewhere, you must grab it.

“A return to Sunderland would make a lot of sense, of course, considering he agreed terms with the club when he moved there last summer.
Guiu has made seven appearances for Chelsea this season, but just three of them have come from the start, and Liam Delap’s return from injury is expected to affect his minutes.
Sunderland fear losing Wilson Isidor
On October 27, Brown informed Football Insider that scouts have been following Wilson Isidor this season, with a number of big teams keeping an eye on his progress.
Isidor’s form for Sunderland has not gone unnoticed by his teammates, with captain Granit Xhaka calling him “unbelievable” after his goal against Villa.
[Sky Sports]. However, the Black Cats are concerned about losing their first-choice striker during the January transfer window and have no plans to let him go in the near future.
On September 26, Football Insider exclusively disclosed that Aston Villa are keeping a close eye on Isidor after his impressive start to the season.
However, Unai Emery’s team is not the only one keeping a careful eye on the striker’s growth, as scouts from a number of big clubs are following him.
