Sussex trust being prosecuted over death of teen at Worthing Hospital.
A hospital trust is being charged for the death of a vulnerable adolescent under its care. Ellame Ford-Dunn was pronounced dead despite the best efforts of emergency services after being discovered with a ligature around her neck on the grounds of Worthing Hospital.
The 16-year-old, who had suffered from serious mental illness for long time and had autism and ADHD, fled the hospital’s Bluefin Ward, an acute paediatric ward, on March 20, 2022.
