Teen boy charged after ‘attempted murder’ in Aberdeen city centre.
The 16-year-old kid has been charged in connection with the incident in Aberdeen City Centre and is scheduled to appear in court today.
A 16-year-old kid has been charged with attempted murder and serious assault in Aberdeen’s city centre. Officers from Police Scotland responded to the incident on Bon Accord Street just after 3 a.m. on Sunday (October 26).
Police claimed the 16-year-old was arrested and accused after attempting to murder a 20-year-old guy and seriously assaulting an 18-year-old male.
The two males were rushed to the hospital for treatment, and their condition is characterised as serious. The teenager is scheduled to appear in Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Monday (October 27).
Detective Sergeant Emma Low stated, “Enquiries to determine the full circumstances are ongoing, and we are requesting that anyone who witnessed the incident contact us as soon as possible.”
“We’d also want anyone with private CCTV on Bon Accord Street in the early hours to verify their film and forward it to us.
“Any information, no matter how small, could help us as we continue our enquiries.” Chief Inspector Victoria Stables stated, “We understand that this occurrence will be concerning to the local community.
“There will be enhanced patrols in the area to provide reassurance and support for the current investigation. I would advise anyone with concerns to contact our police.”
