The 22 Sheffield neighbourhoods where your car is most at risk from criminals, including Ecclesall.
The latest police stats have shown the areas in Sheffield where your car is most likely to be targeted by crooks.
The data, from Police UK, have been broken into 70 neighbourhoods around Sheffield, and they are the 22 highest in the city, with some of them somewhat surprise.
The data is the latest recent available and covers the period June 2024 to May 2025. Our slideshow below displays the 22 neighbourhoods with the highest car crime rates in Sheffield throughout that time period.
The data include thefts of cars and other types of vehicles, as well as thefts of stuff from cars.
Our data indicate both the overall number of complaints of car crime and the rate per 1,000 residents. We ordered the numbers according to the number of reports per 1,000 residents. If the two neighbourhoods were equal, we considered the overall number for the neighbourhood.
The data are based on where the occurrences occurred rather than where they were reported. The photographs are for illustrative reasons only, and the figures do not refer to any specific buildings or streets.
