The data from Police UK has been compiled to demonstrate which areas of the city have the most reports of violent crime and sexual offences per 1,000 residents.
These are the 25 most violent neighbourhoods in Sheffield, according to the latest police numbers.
The data from Police UK has been compiled to demonstrate which areas of the city have the most reports of violent crime and sexual offences per 1,000 residents.
The most recent quarterly numbers are utilised, based on the city’s division into 70 sections.
The numbers cover the period from June 2024 to May 2025. We rated the numbers available on the Sheffield Council website based on the number of incident reports per 1,000 people.
The 24 areas that received the most complaints are presented in the gallery below in descending order, with the most violent area of the city mentioned last.
The figures for violence exclude robberies but include sexual offences. The incidents are documented in the location in which they occurred.

From June 2024 to May 2025, Richmond & Stradbroke had 42.4 reports of violent crime per 1,000 residents, ranking 23rd worst in Sheffield. There were 328 incidents in that neighbourhood.
