‘The best in the league’ – Kyprianou on partnering Louza.

Hector Kyprianou praised midfield partner Imran Louza as “probably the best player in the league” after the two helped Watford defeat Middlesbrough 3-0 on Saturday.

Louza scored his fifth goal in seven games to open the scoring in the triumph, but it was far from his only highlight.

Kyprianou aims to complement the Moroccan, who is “pretty easy” to play with. He told the club’s website: “Imran is a top player, and he’s probably the best player in the league right now.”

“I truly enjoy playing with him. We give him some independence, and I try to balance it out a little. We need to build on that and maintain our momentum.”Imran Louza celebrates his openerImran Louza celebrates his opener (Image: Alex Cozzi/Watford FC)Kyprianou is enjoying life under new manager Javi Gracia, who has overseen two victories and two defeats since replacing Paulo Pezzolano last month.

The midfielder stated: “Since he arrived, we’ve been a work in progress, and we’ve demonstrated what a quality team we are. “He organises us so effectively, I believe there will be more to come.

I am confident he will identify areas for improvement. “The longer we work with him and the more he teaches us, the better we will be.

“I believe this was demonstrated by the fact that everyone was enthusiastic throughout the week because we knew our performance versus Coventry was good. “That showed against Middlesbrough as it was a pretty dominant display from everyone.”
