“The smell stinks”: Rat infestation plagues MoD Southwick Park – instructors deal with vermin “on their desks”

“The smell stinks”: Teachers at MoD Southwick Park have to cope with rodents “on their desks” because to a rat infestation.

A serious rat infestation has plagued MoD Southwick Park, formerly known as HMS Dryad. The Defence School of Policing, Security, and Guarding, which trains the armed services’ service police, is presently housed there.
The News was informed by an unidentified source that there is a rat problem as a result of decreased funds for pest control. They said, “Hampshire Driver Training Police instructors have had rats on their desks, in drawers searching for food, and all over their office space.”
Rats have created such a mess while searching for food that the bathroom has now been closed. The rat poop has an awful stench. Driver training must still take place in the rat-infested offices, even though other teams have been relocated to Netley or are working from home.
