‘This is home’ – Frey signs new QPR contract.
Michael Frey has signed a new deal at Loftus Road. The 31-year-old Swiss forward was the Rs’ leading scorer last season, with nine goals.
Frey joined the Hoops from Royal Antwerp in January 2024 and has scored 10 goals in 41 games. QPR initially activated a contract extension at the end of the season.
The team has not disclosed the length of his new contract. “I feel quite well; I feel happy. “I feel like this is home; it’s like family now,” he said on the club’s website.
“There have been difficult times, fighting for relegation, but we have also had very, very good days, beautiful days when we played very nice football.”
“We have stayed two seasons in the league and now this season, maybe we want to have a bit more, but we have to work very hard for it.”
Frey has only made one appearance this season, coming off the bench in the 77th minute of his team’s 3-1 victory over Wrexham.
