Three teenage boys arrested after armed police raid Edgware and Colindale.
Three adolescent lads were arrested when armed police stormed homes in Edgware and Colindale.
Several armed officers were spotted in Edgwarebury Lane at noon today (October 28) as part of a warrant execution. Police closed the road for several hours during the raid.
Police had also responded to The Ridgeway in Colindale with a second warrant.
Three lads, one 16 and two 17, were arrested on suspicion of robbery as part of an ongoing robbery investigation. The Metropolitan Police have taken them into custody, and the inquiry is ongoing.
Following incorrect conjecture online, the CST issued a statement on X earlier today explaining that the “heavy police presence” in Edgware was “not specifically related to the local Jewish community”.
Police have also stated that no company locations were involved in either warrant, and the force claims that material spreading on social media is “inaccurate”.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “On Tuesday, 28 October at approximately 12:00hrs two warrants were executed by officers, including firearms officers, at addresses in Edgwarebury Lane HA8 and The Ridgeway NW9.
“Three adolescent lads, one aged 16 and two aged 17, were arrested on suspicion of robbery as part of an ongoing robbery investigation.
“They have been taken into custody and the investigation continues.”
