A restaurant in Colchester has been forced to close due to a fire.

Toby Carvery on London Road was forced to close for the entire day today (September 15) due to a fire that broke out this morning.

The company states that clients with reservations were contacted as quickly as possible.

A message on the door read: “Unfortunately, we are closed for the remainder of the day due to a fire this morning.”

“We apologise for any trouble this brings. “We have tried to contact any bookings in advance and we should be open as usual tomorrow hopefully.”
