Trains delayed and cancelled between Manchester and London amid emergency incident.
An emergency incident caused significant disruption for rail passengers between Manchester and London.
National Rail reported that emergency services were on the scene following an incident between London Euston and Watford Junction this morning (August 11). According to British Transport Police, a person was found at Bushey and Oxhey station near Watford and taken to hospital with potentially life-changing injuries.
The incident is causing delays and cancellations on the West Coast Mainline, including Avanti West Coast services from the capital to the North West. A National Rail spokesperson stated:
“Emergency services are responding to an incident between Watford Junction and London Euston.” “Whilst emergency services attend the incident, trains may be delayed by up to 45 minutes or cancelled.” National Rail predicts that disruption will last until 1pm today.
A post from London Euston on X added: “Due to the emergency services responding to an incident at Bushey, lines are blocked.”
