Trespass in Westgate Street, Ipswich, to close December 17

Trespass in Westgate Street, Ipswich, to close December 17.

A prominent UK brand will stay open for a little longer in Ipswich town centre after postponing its closure date. Trespass in Westgate Street will be open in Ipswich until December 17.

It was supposed to close on October 18, but the brand pushed it back to help sell all of the stock.

In May, it was revealed that the business’s Ipswich branch would be permanently closed, with the shop unit going on sale in September for £320,000.

In November 2019, the outdoor apparel retailer posted notices in the shop’s windows notifying customers that the store will be shutting in December and that “all stock must go”.

However, it was then revealed that the shop was not closing after all, with employees saying that the company had renegotiated an extension on its lease.

Earlier this year, signs in the windows announced that the shop would be closing for refurbishment, however they were then changed to ‘closing down’.
