Wilfred Ndidi has talked up his debut for Turkish Super Lig giants Besiktas, according to the DAILY POST.

Ndidi joined the Istanbul giants from Sky Bet Championship club Leicester City two weeks ago.

On Sunday night, the Nigeria international made his debut for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, which defeated Eyupspor 2-1.

The 28-year-old played for 70 minutes before being replaced by Demir Tiknaz due to a knock.

Ndidi praised Besiktas fans for their incredible support. “The atmosphere was excellent. Our fans provided us with fantastic support.

When the score was 1-1, we demonstrated true team spirit, and their support motivated us to fight for the second goal.

“It was a great day, and we feel fantastic,” he told reporters after the game.

Ndidi is expected to play when Besiktas face Lausanne in the UEFA Europa Conference League playoffs on Thursday.
