Two arrests made after woman ‘kidnapped’ from Vue cinema in Blackburn.

Police have arrested two men in connection with the alleged kidnapping of a woman from a Blackburn cinema.

Officers were called to the Vue Cinema at the Peel Leisure and Retail Park in Blackburn shortly after 8.45 p.m. on Saturday (August 9).

They discovered that a man in his twenties had been assaulted, and a woman in her twenties had been forced to leave the cinema. She was found safe later that evening.

Two men, aged 37 and 22, have been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 grievous bodily harm and kidnapping and are currently in custody.

Police are asking anyone who was at the cinema on Saturday between 7.30pm and 8.40pm and witnessed what happened or noticed anything suspicious to come forward.
