A casualty was transported to the hospital by ambulance following a crash that caused traffic chaos near Meadowhall.
Traffic jams were reported near Meadowhall this afternoon following a crash near the popular Sheffield shopping centre.

The Yorkshire Ambulance Service has now provided information about the emergency response to the incident.
A spokesman told The Star: “At 3.26pm on Tuesday (August 19), we received an emergency call reporting a collision on Vulcan Road near Meadowhall.
“An ambulance was dispatched to the scene and one patient was conveyed to Northern General Hospital.” The AA reported that Vulcan Road had been closed, causing traffic to queue.
The motoring organisation described the road as closed and congested due to a crash on Vulcan Road.
