West Brom is pursuing a free agent in preliminary negotiations with a Championship team.

According to Football Insider, Norwich City is in advanced negotiations to sign Jeffrey Schlupp, who was linked to West Brom, following his departure from Crystal Palace.

Norwich City is interested in signing the former Ghanaian player. NCFC is prepared for another championship season.

Schlupp, 32, spent a season on loan at Celtic before leaving Crystal Palace at the end of the previous campaign. Football Insider claims that West Brom has shown interest in signing him.

But the most recent information from the same source claims that the Canaries are now “positioned” to jump in and sign him. Earlier this summer, they appointed Liam Manning, a former Bristol City player, as manager.

“I am very thrilled to join Celtic, such a large and legendary name in sport,” he said after temporarily joining the team last winter. I had a conversation with Brendan (Rodgers), and I am eager to collaborate with him and the team as we aim to award our supporters with more trophies. Although I am aware that I am joining a very successful team and that the squad has already performed well this season both domestically and in Europe, I still want to play my part in helping us achieve even more.

West Brom is interested in Jeffrey Schlupp, and Norwich City is in negotiations with him.

Schlupp could be considered a possible addition to Norwich City’s roster. By adding a few new players to his newly inherited team, Manning has the chance to forge his own identity.

The player, who was born in Germany, advanced via Leicester City’s academy. He later played for the Foxes for 150 games, including one while on loan at Brentford.

Schlupp was a great servant to the Eagles after joining Crystal Palace in 2016. He scored 19 goals in 247 games in all competitions.

After that, he was given the all-clear to sign with Celtic during the most recent January transfer window. The Hoops will not, however, permanently re-sign him.

What will Jeffrey Schlupp do next?

With Norwich City, Schlupp will probably be able to play frequently in the second division. A postseason berth will be NCFC’s goal.

Last season, the Canaries did not place in the top six. That ultimately resulted in Johannes Hoff Thorup losing his post, which opened the door for Manning to enter.

It might be necessary for West Brom to look elsewhere for reinforcements. The Baggies are getting ready for life under Ryan Mason, their new manager.

To take over at The Hawthorns, the 34-year-old resigned as coach of Tottenham Hotspur. He signed a three-year deal in the Midlands that expires in 2028 after being selected as Tony Mowbray’s replacement.
