‘With flying colours’ – Bradford City vs Luton Town prediction: The72.

Bradford City will face Luton Town at Valley Parade on Saturday, as two of the division’s newcomers clash in their third game of the season.

Bradford City welcomes Luton Town to Yorkshire this weekend, looking to build on their strong start in League One. At this early stage, BCAFC is seventh in the table and undefeated.

The Bantams followed up their impressive opening-day victory over Wycombe Wanderers with goalless draws against Northampton Town and Sixfields. It was a scrappy game with few chances, but an away point was a satisfactory result for Graham Alexander and co.

Bradford City advanced to the Carabao Cup second round with a 2-1 victory over Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday night, thanks to goals from Ibou Touray and Will Swan in the first four minutes.

Luton Town is one of six League One teams with a perfect record through the first two games. They have yet to concede and are currently ranked fourth as a result.

Following a hard-fought 1-0 victory over AFC Wimbledon in the third-tier season opener, the Hatters won 2-0 at Peterborough United last weekend thanks to second-half goals from Mads Andersen and Jordan Clark.

Matt Bloomfield’s side may have been defeated by Coventry City in the Carabao Cup, but confidence is high at the Bedfordshire club as they aim to return to the Championship at the first time of asking.

Here are some of our writers’ predictions for the game.

James Ray

“Bradford City passed their first day test with flying colours against a team widely expected to fight for promotion, and they face another here in Luton Town.

If BCAFC are to succeed this season, their home form will be critical, and another victory over a top team will boost their confidence tremendously. “I do think the Hatters are a level above Wycombe, so this will be a tough game.

Bloomfield’s squad is still full of Championship-caliber players, and against a newly promoted team, they should be aiming for victory.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if LTFC maintained their perfect record, but I’ll back the hosts to earn another point. I’ll say this ends at 1-1. Prediction: Bradford City 1–1 Luton Town.
