On Friday morning, emergency services were called to the Strathmore Lodge Lifehouse on Ward Road.

A 43-year-old lady was found dead inside a Salvation Army building in Dundee’s city core. On Friday morning, emergency services were called to the Strathmore Lodge Lifehouse on Ward Road.

One man informed The Courier that he spotted police and paramedics at the scene around 9 a.m. The Lifehouse offers lodging, including 18 en-suite flats and other amenities, to persons in need of assistance.

Woman’s next of kin informed after Dundee Salvation Army death

Police Scotland is investigating the death as unexplained but does not consider it suspicious.

A spokesman said: “We were called to a 43-year-old woman’s death at a residence on Ward Road in Dundee at 9 a.m. on Friday.

“The next of kin is aware. “The death is being treated as unexplained, however, there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.” The Salvation Army was approached for comment.
