GdS: Milan hope Mendes and player’s desire will help land Estupinan for under €20m.
AC Milan has made an offer for Brighton’s Pervis Estupinan, but they do not want to pay more than €20 million to sign him.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (shown below), Giorgio Furlani and Igli Tare are preparing to fill gaps on both flanks. On the right, no offer has been made for Almeria’s Marc Pubill, but Strasbourg’s asking price for Guéla Doué remains high.
Estupinan offer made
Milan’s focus has shifted to the left flank, specifically Brighton’s Pervis Estupinan. This is a huge opportunity, and the club has made an initial offer of €12 million to sign the Ecuador international.
It’s not enough to seal the deal, but the Seagulls have already signed Maxim De Cuyper as a left-back. Furthermore, Brighton has recently assured Jorge Mendes, the Ecuadorian’s agent, that they will release him if he receives a suitable offer.
The player admitted as much back home, saying ‘I want to grow in my career’ in an interview, and now expects his wish to be granted. Milan wants to reach the €20 million mark because they know the player, despite other attractive offers, is eager to come to Italy.
A little more work is required, and Mendes is also helping to accelerate the process. Alternatives to the left? Nathaniel Brown, from Eintracht Frankfurt, has also been mentioned.
He is not related to Archie Brown, who left the Rossoneri to join Fenerbahce after a stalemate. Brown, born in 2003, is regarded as an intriguing prospect, though the spotlight is now on Estupinan.
And then there’s Girona’s Miguel Gutierrez, who has long been on AC Milan’s radar but has never been contacted.
