NEW FEYENOORD ATTEMPT FOR TWENTE OLD BOY UGALDE IS A ‘DIFFICULT STORY’

NEW FEYENOORD ATTEMPT FOR TWENTE OLD BOY UGALDE IS A ‘DIFFICULT STORY’.

According to Sjoerd Keizer of Voetbal International, Feyenoord will continue to attempt to bring Manfred Ugalde to De Kuip. The Rotterdam club wants to sign the striker on loan from Spartak Moscow, but this appears to be a difficult proposition.

Earlier this summer, it was revealed that the Costa Rican was on Feyenoord’s radar.

For a long time, it appeared unlikely that it would become anything more than an ambitious plan, but the Rotterdammers are finally making an effort to bring him in.

The plan is to lend Ugalde money, but there may also be a purchase option.

Ugalde, 23, left FC Twente for Spartak Moscow in January 2024 after being paid €13 million for his services.

The striker made 84 appearances for Enschede and scored 22 goals. Ugalde began his football career with Deportivo Saprissa in his home country before being signed by Belgian club Lommel SK in 2020.
