Nottingham Forest’s chances of signing Fulham’s Adama Traore as fresh update given

Nottingham Forest’s chances of signing Fulham’s Adama Traore as fresh update given.

Nottingham Forest have been looking into signing Adama Traore from Fulham during the summer transfer window.

Nuno Espirito Santo is still looking for a winger, having lost Anthony Elanga to Newcastle United and potentially Jota Silva to Sporting.

Ramon Sosa has also left the City Grounds. Nottingham Forest have signed Dan Ndoye, but they are also interested in Adama Traore, who wants to reunite with his former manager Nuno.

Traore had a productive season with the Cottagers, recording nine assists across all competitions, so his stock has certainly risen. A new update has emerged on his potential move to Nottingham Forest.

How likely Nottingham Forest are to sign Adama Traore

Forest have been in talks to sign Traore for several weeks, but there has been no progress in negotiations.

According to the Times, Forest’s chances of signing the Spanish winger are ‘unlikely.’ It’s unclear why, but given he has three years left on his contract, Fulham were likely looking for a sizable fee.

Nuno and his team have clearly moved on to other targets, with an offer being considered for Ipswich Town’s Omari Hutchinson.

Nottingham Forest’s three alternative targets to Adama Traore

Forest are considering a £40 million bid for Hutchinson, who has also attracted interest from Everton and Brentford. Hutchinson is eager to return to the Premier League, so personal terms are unlikely to be an issue.

Forest has also identified Ademola Lookman of Atalanta as an ambitious target, with the Nigerian wideman looking to leave the club.

Lookman is being pursued by Serie A giants Inter Milan, so a transfer appears unlikely.

Dilane Bakwa of RC Strasbourg is also on Nuno’s radar, with a £24 million bid submitted for the young Frenchman. However, the Ligue 1 club wants around £30 million to sanction his sale.
