Man, in 50s, found dead in Blackburn – police treating death as ‘unexplained’.
A man was found deceased at a Blackburn residence on Monday (September 22), prompting police to initiate an inquiry.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Whitebirk Road around 4 p.m. A man in his 50s was discovered dead on the premises.
Police are treating his death as unexplained, and the inquiry is ongoing. Anyone with information is requested to phone the police at 101. The individual is known locally as Moshen Vepari.
The Blackburn Muslim Community released an update on social media, saying: “Moshen Vepari (Vepari Gas Plumbing and Heating), of Whitebirk Road, Blackburn, has sadly passed away from this temporary world and returned to his creator.”
“The Vepari family made a very courteous request. Please don’t contact them during this difficult and stressful time. Please refrain from spreading rumours and speculation. They wish that you all spend some time praying for Moshen.”
A police spokeswoman stated, “We were called at 4.03pm yesterday (September 22) to an address in Whitebirk Road, Blackburn, to investigate a welfare issue.”Our police arrived and discovered a male in his fifties deceased on the property.
