Bojan Miovski tells Rangers his transfer non negotiable as Aberdeen loan stance revealed.

The Macedonian, who has been monitored by Celtic in recent seasons, wants a fresh start away from Girona.

Rangers target Bojan Miovski has stated that if he leaves Girona, he wants a permanent move.

The Light Blues, along with several other European clubs, have approached the Spanish side about a loan.

However, the Macedonian would prefer a clean break from the La Liga club. To accomplish this, Girona would like to recoup as much of the club record £6.8 million paid to Aberdeen in August last year.

Miovski, who has also been closely watched by Celtic over the last two seasons, has struggled to make an impact for the Spanish club and has fallen down the pecking order.

He was left out of their squad for the weekend’s game against Villarreal in an attempt to resolve his future.

Miovski is looking for a fresh start, and it remains to be seen whether Rangers or other interested European clubs can make it happen.

Rangers could make the money if they sell Hamza igamane to Lille or Cyriel Dessers before the transfer window closes.

he irony is that Russell Martin turned down the opportunity to sign Miovski for Southampton.

Former head of recruitment Darren Mowbray had signed him for Aberdeen and was eager to bring him to St Mary’s, but his boss declined.

The Saints manager was unsure whether Miovski was ready for the English Premier League, despite his proven track record in the Scottish Premiership.

Dons officials have maintained regular contact with Miovski’s camp. The Scottish Cup winners could only have facilitated a loan, which is not currently an option for the player.
Aberdeen cannot afford his wages, and they can only pay a fraction of what he currently earns.
