Everton handed Jack Grealish lifeline after Takefusa Kubo update provided

David Moyes will be desperate to improve Everton’s attack before the Premier League season begins.

Following a dismal season in front of goal, Moyes will not accept the same standard this season.

Thierno Barry’s early signing is encouraging, as Everton now have their number nine locked down for the next few years.

However, a striker need the creation of opportunities, which only Dwight McNeil and Iliman Ndiaye can supply in the current roster.

Moyes will be looking for another creative outlet, and Everton, who are pursuing a ‘ambitious’ move for Jack Grealish, have just received a lifeline.

Everton handed Jack Grealish lifeline after Napoli interest

The Grealish-Everton saga has lasted all summer, and it appears that no breakthrough has been reached.

Despite the fact that Grealish joining Everton this summer would be surprising, the Toffees are undoubtedly in the running.

The winger is seeking for a new club after being released by Pep Guardiola, and Napoli is also interested in Grealish.

However, according to Fabrizio Romano, the Italian side is considering alternative options, since Raheem Sterling has been given to the club from Naples.

This is fantastic news for Moyes’ pursuit of Grealish, as Napoli’s prospects of signing the English winger appear to have finished, since a reunion with Kevin De Bruyne is no longer an option, and Everton now appear to be the most appealing choice.

It has also been said that Napoli wanted Takefusa Kubo, which is a concern, but in terms of Grealish, Sterling may be a huge boost for Everton.

Whether Jack Grealish or Takefusa Kubo would be best for Everton

With Grealish looking more viable, Kubo appears less likely if Napoli makes an approach.

This is due to Antonio Conte’s side having Champions League football at their disposal, but there appears to be a silver lining as Grealish’s availability becomes more evident.

Everton must sign at least one of these players, but who would benefit Moyes’ regime the most?

Peter Reid stated that Evertonians would appreciate Grealish, and he appears to be the type of player who would win over the fans of this new project at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

But Kubo has Zinedine Zidane’s approval, and when both players are at their peak at their respective clubs, it’s a battle and a half.

Both players would immediately boost Moyes’ ambitions, but it is up to the owners to make a decision, and following Kubo’s update, Grealish could be the way forward as Napoli looks elsewhere.
