How latest Hearts signing has earned Gorgie transfer as boss jokes teammate may need to join him at Jambos.
A glowing report has been sent from abroad on what Hearts can expect from their new signing.
New Hearts signing Pierre Landry Kabore may need to bring a friend to Gorgie after completing his Tynecastle transfer, jokes the forward’s former boss.
After a lengthy red tape delay, the Jambos announced his arrival ahead of Sunday’s Premiership clash with Dundee United. Kabore has attended some of Hearts’ recent matches this season and is now ready to play after receiving a work permit from Estonian club JK Narva Trans.
This season, he has scored 22 goals in 20 league and cup appearances for Narva Trans, which competes in the Estonian division from March to November.
Head coach Roman Kozhukhovsky has reacted to his forward’s departure and discussed his development, stating that fellow forward and club captain Iri may also require a Hearts transfer to assist Kabore.
Pierre Landry Kabore to Hearts reaction
He stated: “I have mixed feelings. As a coach, I recognise that the team is losing a valuable player who could decide the episode.
He made a difference on the attack line. He was satisfied with just one or two opportunities to convert. As a result, Kabore is still the Premium League’s top scorer, and he deserves to be.
For various reasons, he did not participate in all matches this season. On the other hand, as I told him, my goal as a coach and as a club is for people to advance, to move forward in their development. Kabore is an excellent example of this. I believe the club.
Management deserves a lot of credit because they also believed in him. He did not start playing right away. He had only been training in Narva for six months when he began playing in the new season. Kabore is a talented football player, and they all have a difficult personality.
“But I believe I was able to take an individual approach to him. Both specialists and fans will likely notice that he has changed this year. He has significantly improved in terms of internal discipline, which has obviously impacted his performance and playing abilities.
What Derek McInnes said about latest Hearts signing
“There is also another important point. We have a player on our team who helps foreign players adjust, particularly those who speak French. This is Iri, the captain and legend behind “Trans”. I’ve already joked with him that he’ll have to accompany Kabore to Scotland as a mentor.
McInnes stated earlier this week about the signing: “It’s obviously taken a little longer than we’d like to get Landry in, but he’s here now, and I’m happy to have it done. His stats over the last few seasons speak for themselves, and we’re hoping he’ll bring something unique to our forward areas.
“He’s a big, mobile guy who can play across the front, so his versatility is a huge advantage. Scotland will be a new culture for him, so we’ll be patient in getting him up to speed, but he’s demonstrated his ability to integrate quickly from his time in Estonia, and we’ll do everything we can to help Landry succeed at Hearts.”
