Leeds United To Watch Closely For Severity Of AC Milan Star’s Injury

Leeds United’s hopes of acquiring Noah Okafor may be impacted by the severity of the injury sustained by Rafael Leao of AC Milan, therefore they will be closely monitoring the situation.

The Whites have increased their efforts to bolster their forward department with less than two weeks left in the transfer window.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin, a former Everton star, was bought by Leeds on a free transfer, but they are still expected to want another striker.

Ermedin Demirovic, a striker for Stuttgart, has become a target, but Leeds will need to make a strong offer to encourage the German team to think about selling.

Leeds has recently reached a personal agreement with the Swiss star Okafor of AC Milan, whom they have identified as the best option in the flank position.

But because of his impressive preseason, AC Milan has been hesitant to let him leave, and their position may even be strengthened based on Leao’s outcome.

When AC Milan’s forward Leao left the field after just 17 minutes of Sunday’s Italian Cup match against Bari, Okafor stepped off the bench.

Although the severity of Leao’s calf injury is yet unknown, the outcome may influence the Italian team’s decision to let Okafor go.

The Portuguese has been an outstanding player for AC Milan in recent years, and if the Rossoneri approve Okafor’s transfer to Leeds, they will be shorthanded if the injury keeps him out for an extended period of time.

Leeds will be closely monitoring the situation as AC Milan is anticipated to learn the extent of Leao’s injury shortly.

The Whites will want to know as soon as possible if landing Okafor will present any further challenges.

Tonight, the Yorkshire giants will play Everton at Elland Road to begin their Premier League campaign.
