Latest Leeds United transfer news: Manor Solomon releases his first message since his return to Tottenham Hotspur.
As speculation mounts about a possible return to Leeds United, former loan star Manor Solomon has given his first message since suffering an injury setback at Tottenham Hotspur.
Solomon had a good 2024/25 season with Daniel Farke’s team, scoring 10 goals and giving 13 assists to help Leeds re-enter the Premier League. The attacker has subsequently returned to his parent club, Tottenham Hotspur, where he was expected to impress new manager Thomas Frank.
However, due to the player’s injury, the plan has been put on hold for the time being. After missing a friendly against Reading last weekend, his manager clarified: “Manor has a minor calf injury, unfortunately nothing major.”
Solomon turned 26 on Thursday, and Spurs wished him a happy birthday on Instagram. This allowed him to quote the post on his profile and add his own statement, breaking his quiet following the injury.
“Another year Thank you for your wishes. “Just a minor setback; I’ll be back on track soon he told his 300,000 fans.
Frank is still anticipated to have a thorough look at Solomon before making a decision on his future, allowing Leeds to wait in the wings.
LeedsLive knows that is what the winger intends to do in pre-season, so he must overcome his injury and hit the ground running if he wants to break into their established Premier League and Champions League sides.
However, Solomon’s destiny may be decided by other considerations, such as Spurs’ desire to comply with the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR) and their dire need for homegrown players to bolster their Champions League team.
Both scenarios could indicate that Spurs decide to cash in before the conclusion of the summer window, allowing Leeds and Farke – who remains an admirer – to come in and acquire a player who is already at ease at Elland Road.
The Whites have already been active in the transfer market this summer, beginning with the free acquisition of forward Lukas Nmecha.
They have recently recruited midfielders Anton Stach and Sean Longstaff, as well as defenders Gabriel Gudmundsson, Jaka Bijol, and Sebastiaan Bornauw to their roster.
