The striker ‘agrees terms’ with Sheffield Wednesday’s Championship opponents following the Owls’ flight.

Josh Windass, a former striker for Sheffield Wednesday, has agreed to terms with Wrexham and is expected to play for his old team next season.

With a physical scheduled for today, Windass, who obtained his release from Hillsborough last week, was headed to the Red Dragons, according to a story published on Sunday by GiveMeSport. Following the mutual termination of his contract at S6 due to the club’s recent financial difficulties, he has not wasted any time in finding a new team.

GMS stated that “Wrexham and striker Josh Windass have reached an agreement, with a medical scheduled for Monday.” Windass’s contract with financially struggling Sheffield Wednesday was mutually terminated, making him a free agent. Wrexham is finalizing a deal with the player, but Norwich City and Coventry City are still hoping to make a final push to sign him.

Josh Windass is not squandering time.

“During their preseason tour of Australia and New Zealand, the 31-year-old had remote conversations with Wrexham, including with manager Phil Parkinson, over the course of the last 72 hours.”
